The public is hereby notified that the City Council of the City of Dunn will hold a special call meeting following adjournment of the regular City Council meeting on Tuesday, April 9, 2013 in the Council Chambers of the Dunn Municipal Building, 401 E. Broad Street, Dunn, NC. The purpose of this meeting is to discuss and/or take action on the following item of business:

Public Hearing Notices:
Sealed bids for the Clinton Avenue US 301 Sidewalk Project will be received by the City of Dunn until 10 a.m. April 5th, 2013. Bids will be received at the City Administration office, Dunn Municipal Building located at 401 E. Broad Street, Dunn, NC 28334. Bids will then be collected, publically opened and read in the Dunn Council Chambers.
The scope of work for the project will include the removal and replacement of 4” concrete sidewalk and 6” concrete driveways, including the installation of wheel chair ramps and crosswalks and other work along Clinton Ave. (US 301) in Dunn, NC (Harnett County).

It’s the bidder’s responsibility to make sure that the sealed bid is received at the location listed above.
The project is fully or partially funded by NCDOT. All prospective bidders shall be prequalified with NCDOT to perform work. Specific requirements regarding DBE participation is identified in the Contract Proposal.

A mandatory pre-bid conference will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, March 22nd, 2013 at the Dunn Council Chamber located at 401 E. Broad Street, Dunn, NC 28334.
Copies of Bid documents may be obtained from the Dunn Planning Department (102 n. Powell Ave., Dunn, NC) for a non-refundable payment of $50.00 per printed set; or electronically. Individuals or firms requesting Contract Documents and Drawings shall supply the following information: Company name, contact person, street address, phone numbers, fax numbers and emails for bidding office; NC contractor’s license with limitations, and classification and indicate if the firm will be a Bidder, Supplier or Subcontractor.

Bid Security: Bids shall be accompanied by a certified check or an acceptable bid bond in the amount of five (5) percent of the base bid.
The project will be awarded based on the lowest responsible bid as outlined in the project’s contract documents.
