Imagine Dunn Strategic Plan Survey

The City of Dunn lies in one of the fastest growing areas of the Country, yet remains a small town that can be defined as industrious and vibrant, where its citizens enjoy a well-rounded quality of life.

Understanding that regional growth can continue to bring change to the Dunn community, and the City and Chamber of Commerce have partnered to establish a long-term vision for the future. The IMAGINE Dunn Strategic Vision Plan will be purposeful and specific, creating a broad vision based on long-term goals and priorities.

Harnett County Bicycle, Pedestrian, and Greenway Plan

Harnett County announces a new Draft Bicycle, Pedestrian, and Greenway Plan available for review by the public. The draft plan focuses on bicycle, pedestrian, and greenway routes and trails, setting the stage for implementation of a County-wide multi-use trail system. These trails will link parks, schools, municipalities, cultural points of interest, and residential areas within Harnett County, and will be designed to connect to surrounding counties. The draft plan drew upon a large group of stakeholders for input throughout the process.

Join Harnett County on October 6th or 7th at 6-7 PM for an online presentation of the Draft Harnett County Bicycle, Pedestrian, and Greenway Plan.
Both sessions will cover the same material, featuring public input received to-date and a review of the draft plan recommendations. Viewers will be able to submit questions and comments and participate in live polling throughout the presentation. Please register in advance through the project website, which also has background info about the plan: https://www.harnettgreenwayplan.com/

Garbage, Recyclables, and Debris Pick-Up

The City provides one yard waste cart (blue with a brown lid) for grass clippings, leaves, shrubbery, trimmings, sticks, and branches no longer than 3 feet in length (to allow for lid closure) which is emptied by Republic Waste on a regularly scheduled day each week. Large limbs and other yard debris that will not fit into the debris cart may be placed behind the curb and a request for pick-up made to Public Works at (910) 892-2948. The debris will be evaluated by City staff to determine if it meets City code. If not, disposal fees may apply. To read more on our garbage, recyclables, and debris pick-up rules please click here.
