Performs managerial, administrative and fiscal control work for the city finance operations w/annual general fund operating budget of $10M and water fund operating budget of $5M. Work involves planning, coordinating & directing all aspects of city financial management & administration, which includes receipt, disbursement and accounting of city revenues & expenditures, managing investment of city funds and assisting City Manager in preparing annual budget. Supervises payroll, accounts payable/receivable, and water utilities billing. Independent judgment & initiative required to ensure compliance with local ordinances, NC General Statutes & federal laws regarding governmental financial operations.

- Minimum Requirements
Bachelor's degree in accounting, public or business administration & 4 years of managerial accounting experience preferably in a public financial setting.
