The City of Dunn is seeking qualified applicants for a part-time position for an Equipment Mechanic at the Public Works department. Responsible for servicing, replacing parts, minor repairs, and preventive maintenance on a variety of municipal vehicles and equipment. Work includes assisting the Fleet Maintenance Mechanic, checking fluid levels, changing and replacing fluids and tires, installing batteries, fuses, fan belts and other parts, and keeping vehicles and work area clean. Responsible for picking up and delivering parts. Operates a variety of tools and equipment including tow truck, air compressors, jacks, tire changers and balances, gauges, and others. Performs state-required safety inspections. Maintains simple records.

- Minimum Requirements
Must be able to perform heavy lifting. Graduation from high school and some mechanical or automotive servicing and light repair experience. Must possess a valid NC Driver License.

Starting Salary: $15.00/hr.
